Tips and tricks for getting ready to enter live orders into FDM4.

Congrats! You've made it through training and it's time to get started in the Live ERP site.

This article will walk you through:

  • Logging into the Live ERP site
  • User Settings
  • Setting up your pins
  • Updating column management
  • Understanding the "Training Wheels" program

Logging into FDM4

To login, confirm your VPN is connected and point your browser to https://erp.game-one.com

  • Set your Company as Game One and your default warehouse based on your area:
    • Northwest reps: Select Game One - Bozeman
    • Southwest reps: Select Game One - Odessa
    • East reps: Select Game One - Holland
  • Use the "Active Directory" button to login. This will authenticate you using your Microsoft Outlook credentials.

If you have any questions logging into FDM4, please reach out to the Game One Help Desk (helpdesk@game-one.com).

User Settings

After logging in, click on your name on the top right of the screen and adjust the settings to match the screenshot below:

Quantity: Decimals

Auto Select: ON

Grid Columns Mode: Compressed

Notifications: 5 Seconds (recommend 3-7 seconds, depending on preference. This controls the length of the error/warning messages.)

Colors: Changing color schemes is optional and if done, we recommend choosing one of the preset color schemes from the dropdown menu. There are certain buttons (like hamburger menus) that disappear when certain color schemes are chosen.

Setting up your Pins

When you first access the live site, you will need to set up your pins again. The good news is you can copy from a similar user to fast-track this step.

  • From the home screen click the "Wheel icon" shown below.
  • When prompted for a user ID to copy from, type in amandau
  • Your pins will update to the standard sales rep pins
  • You can rearrange pins by dragging/dropping them into the order you prefer

If you are not a sales rep, you can also copy from like-users. See this article: Copying Pins

Adding Common Buttons to your Toolstrip

In addition to Column Management, there are several buttons you will want to add to your toolstrip in Review Customer Orders that will give you more details when researching your orders. Follow the steps in this article: How to Manage the Toolstrip in FDM4 to add the 4 buttons shown below to your toolstrip.

      Understanding the "Training Wheels" program

All new sales reps will be added to a special group in FDM4 that allows for order review prior to an order being fully released in the system. We have found the majority of issues that happen with orders happen at order entry, so this extra layer of oversight ensures sales reps are entering orders correctly so they process and reach the customer in a timely manner.

      What this means for you:

      • You can enter, edit and release quotes and send to customers for approval like normal
      • After releasing a quote, you will choose "Save Not Complete" and select the default reason code (TWC/TWW/TWE). This will put your order in a queue to review.
      • The lead CRR for your region will review the orders, ensure accuracy and release them. You will receive an email when the order is released. If there are any changes needed, the CRR lead will reach back out to you and instruct you to update the order.

Training Wheels access lasts anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on order volume. Once you are released from this program, you will be able to Review & Complete orders like normal.

WHEN IN DOUBT, CALL YOUR CRR FOR GUIDANCE ON ORDER ENTRY QUESTIONS! They have seen it all!
