How to use an existing design for reorders/re-runs

Reorders and re-runs should be handled in a specific way to ensure we pull from an existing designs instead of recreating art

NOTE: The definition of a reorder is an order where the artwork already exists in FDM4. If it exists outside of FDM4, then it's a new order with new artwork.

Rerun orders should be the most simple when it comes to art. Since the design is already approved and set up, by selecting the existing design in the system, you can bypass the need to create art or send the customer another proof.

Follow these steps at order entry:

  1. After entering the SKU and color, click the three dots next to Design

  2. A window of all existing designs will appear. Use the Design Name and/or thumbnail to identify the correct design. Once located, click Select. Viewing in Gallery View may be easier to view everything. See process here on how to switch your view.

  3. As an alternative, if you already know the design number used on the original order, simply type it in the Design box.

Because you have chosen a design that is approved, the system automatically unchecks the "Proof Required" box so the order can bypass the art team/proofing process.
