How to check planned inventory in FDM4

This article will walk through checking planned inventory in FDM4, using the Check Stock function

  1. Run Check Stock

  2. Choose the Stock Warehouses option. This will allow you to see all of our warehouses.

  3. After checking your item in Available Quantity and verifying we do not have any current inventory, switch to Planned Availability to see if we have any coming into our stock in the future.

  4.  When you click on the warehouse line that you see future availability at, you’ll see the PO #s and expected receive dates at the bottom. This allows you to make decisions based on this knowledge.
    1. Example: Below shows 614 dozen for planned availability. The PO shows 750 dozen (Red Box) ordered and 136 dozen “taken” (Yellow Box) or tied against the PO. 750 dozen less the 136 dozen taken means there are 614 dozen left to sell of future inventory coming to our Odessa warehouse. The Booking PO can be seen below (Green Box).
  5. This also gives you an expected receive date that the selected warehouse is going to be receiving this on.
  6. Place your order using this knowledge and LEAVE COMMENTS if those date's do not work for the customer. This will save time for the Account Manager when trying to source and purchase product.
