How to bypass the error "location cannot perform routing step"

This process will walk through bypassing the error received when trying to perform a decoration method not offered at the location you are logged in under or the customer is set to by default.

If you ever receive the error below, please follow the below steps to bypass this configure issue. (FDM4 is aware of this and working to fix this error. This is a temporary solution to bypass these errors)

  1. Go into Order Entry > Edit Existing Order.
  2. Click on the Main tab.
  3. Select Order Header Management.
  4. Find the 'Warehouse' field in Order Header Management. Set this field to the same warehouse the items are committed to and being decorated at. (Make sure the letters entered into this field turn blue, if they do not turn blue, it means it didn't recognize the change, enter a different warehouse prefix and then the one your items are assigned to). 
  5. Locate the 'Center' field in Order Header Management. Set this field to the same warehouse the items are committed to and being decorated at. (Make sure the letters entered into this field turn blue, if they do not turn blue, it means it didn't recognize the change, enter a different warehouse prefix and then the one your items are assigned to).
  6. Click Save (top right of screen).
  7. Proceed to Style Entry > Show Order Lines
  8. Click Configure on the line needing personalization and enter the appropriate information into each text box (number, name, initials, etc.)
  9. Click Save, Change Style. 
  10. This should bypass the error and allow personalization to be added to this order.

Still getting the error shown at the beginning of this article? Make sure the Warehouse Prefix entered into the Warehouse and Center fields turn blue after adjusting. Please leave Order Header comments with the personalization needed and email the error and personalization to Lukas Eswein-Peterson.
