How do I extend the cancel date of a Quick Quote?

The cancel date keeps quotes from sitting on your dashboard for extended periods or time.

When a Quick Quote is started, the system automatically sets the "Cancel By Date" to 30 days in the future. When this date passes, the user will be reminded that the quote is getting stale and needs action (cancel, convert, or extend the cancel date). 

 To extend the Quick Quote cancel date, follow these steps:

  1. From the Quick Quote Dashboard locate the quote and click to edit.
  2. In the Order Info section, locate the Cancel By Date and update it to a future date.

When entering quotes that will not be released until several months in the future, it is good practice to change the cancel date upon quote entry to avoid the system reminders.
