How to change the Sales Rep on an order

Depending on the order's status, the Sales Rep or Account Manager have the ability to update the sales rep on an order.

Using the Change Order Tool:

Use the new Change Order function in FDM4, unless you are already in Order Entry and have the order open.

  1. Run Change Order.
    **Pro Tip: Click the pin on the tab to pin this to your FDM4 favorites.
  2. Enter the Customer Number AND Order Number into the appropriate fields. 
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the check box of whatever fields you need updated (you can select more than one).
  5. Type in the information you are wanting the order to be updated with.
  6. When updating an order and ALL child orders associated with the parent order need to be updated, make sure to select the check box "Update Activity for all Referenced orders".
  7. Click Update.
  8. The box at the bottom of the page will show the updates made to the order(s).

 

How to update the Sales Rep on an Order in Order Entry

If an order is entered under the wrong sales rep, the order must be updated for the correct sales rep to receive credit and commission. 

Follow these steps:

  1. Run to Order Entry
  2. Select Edit Existing Order
  3. Type in the Order Number and click Search.
  4. Select the order.
  5. Click on Edit Order
  6. Go to the Main tab and select the Order Header Management bar.
  7. Scroll down to locate the Header and update the Sales Rep using the drop-down field.
