How to Add and View Order Comments

Both internal and external comments can be added at order entry and viewed from Review Customer Orders.

Viewing Order Comments

Comments that have been added to an order can be viewed by going to Review Customer Orders > Comments (tab on bottom of page).  You can view not only the comments created during Order Entry but conversations between CRRs, buyers and the Custom Team are all visible in the Comments section. 

The Custom Team will add tracking and estimated ship dates to the comments so always check them for the latest status before reaching out to any of the buyers.

How to Add Comments to an Order

Comments can be added to an order in two different ways:

1. Order Entry 

2. Review Customer Orders

Adding comments at Order Entry

A Comment button can be found at the top of all Order Entry screen. The only comment types that should be utilized are O/E Header (prints on the customer's quote/order confirmation) and Non-Printable (internal comment).  To add a comment, follow these steps:

  1. Click Comments > Add
  2. Use the dropdown menu to choose either O/E Header or Non-Printable
  3. Save the comment

Adding comments from Review Customer Orders

Once an order has been entered in the system, an order comment can be added from Review Customer Orders. 

  1. Search for the order in Review Customer Orders
  2. Click the Hamburger Menu > Comments
  3. Use the dropdown menu to choose either O/E Header or Non-Printable
  4. Save the comment

Order-line comment

While FDM4 has an option for Order Line Comments, they are not configured to print or display on any forms or internal queues, therefore we recommend avoiding this comment type.
